1A exists because most of the web is built to show you more. We are built to show you less, and to be right about it. From across the entire yippy network, we keep only what passes a hard second look. Little, but verified. First choice, never first-come. We do not fill calendars or ride trends. We choose on merit, and when in doubt, we leave it out.
One gate, one standard
Every world in the network reports its own field in depth. 1A sits one layer above them all and does what none of them can do from inside their field: it compares, weighs, and decides. Think of it as the premium front door to everything yippy builds. A short, trusted route to the best of each world, made for the reader who is out of time but not out of standards. A named editor vouches for every piece. When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open.
How something makes the cut
Selection here is a method, not a mood. Nothing reaches 1A on reputation alone. We read it first, then we judge it. Claims are traced back to the source, not copied from a press release. Every piece is checked, dated, and signed. If it does not give you something past the headline, it does not run. We choose on merit. We never fill a slot, hit a quota, or ride a calendar. When in doubt, we leave it out.
The four worlds
1A draws from four worlds in the yippy network and lifts the one story from each that you would regret missing. Life in the Intelligence Age covers robots, biology, and the good life as machines learn to think. Health and Longevity reports the field without selling cures. Money and Europe reads capital and the continent as a calm, regulated third way. Work in Transition follows how the German-speaking world earns its living while the rules keep changing. From each world, we pull the top story, line them up, and in a single visit you catch up on all four.
Why less wins
An endless scroll is chosen by no one and tuned for outrage. A curated few are chosen by people, on purpose. That gap is the whole yippy idea: a community that selects, vouches for, and shares the good stuff, while the rest of the web drowns in sameness. 1A is where that idea cuts sharpest. It is the smallest door, and it opens on the best of everything behind it. Come for the shortcut. Stay because what you find here was chosen with you in mind.
